Garden Gathered, An Exhibition by Sarah Hankinson (Craft Cubed)

  • The Windsor Workshop Level 1, 115 Chapel Street Windsor, VIC, 3181 Australia (map)

Sarah Hankinson is a Melbourne based Illustrator who captures the pulse of modern style with her classic illustrations, which pair the energy of watercolour with meticulous line work to portray control and impulse, form and silhouette. Her work balances light and dark to create striking illustrations drawn with a harmonious combination of traditional and modern techniques.Sarah’s commercial clients include Harrods UK, Old Navy USA, Tourism Australia, David Jones, Vogue Living Magazine, Vogue Japan, Twinings Tea, Virgin Australia Magazine, Westfield and SBS Food Channel.

‘Garden Gathered’ references the abundance that nature provides in illustrations of flower arrangements, fruit and vegetable produce. Sarah uses watercolour to capture these subjects that we see on a daily basis in their rich and vibrant colours and form.

Sarah runs seasonal watercolour classes at The Windsor Workshop and will be providing guests the chance to experiment with watercolour using an array of produce as the subject at the launch on Saturday 19th of August 1 - 4pm.
